The founding father of FMC, Bruce has been with the company through thick and thin since its beginning in 1981. Initially a reforestation company, FMC began fighting wildland fires in 1994. “I enjoyed being part of the foundation of an industry,” says Bruce. “Despite the lean years, we’ve been able to watch the industry grow and with it some of our best people who’ve made careers out of protecting wildlands through firefighting.”

Bruce and Barbara have been married 37 years. Their two kids, Bob and Tina, are also part of FMC’s management team. As they get closer to retirement, the Ferguson’s look forward to turning a rock collecting hobby into profit with J2B2 Rocks (look for them on ebay!).
